Hello Everyone,
I hope that everyone has had a great week. It has been a busy week on my end. I have been keeping a little secret. Some of you know that I have been working on a book. It will be fairly short and will be between 110-120 pages and the title is tentatively The Holy Spirit and a Frying Pan. I am waiting to see if it gets picked up by a publisher. More news to come on that.
I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by Deacon Tom in Payson, AZ for his Catholic Vitamins show. He has been doing this show since 2009! That is just amazing. I had a great time talking with Deacon Tom and hopefully I can get up to Payson soon to take him up on his offer of Mass and brunch. You can listen to the interview here.
One of my favorite topics to write and talk about is the writing of St. Justin Martyr. He died in 156 AD, and is was we call the first of the layman apologists. He and six of his students were martyred in 156AD and we can learn a lot about early worship and Christian belief in his writings. One of those is his description of the Mass. I wrote an article for Catholic Stand about Justin Martyr and one of those “frying pan” moments. Check it out here.
The top article on my website this week has to do with socialism. I had the privilege and honor of interviewing Sam Rocha Ph.D and Catholic Answers apologist Trent Horn about this issue. I asked the question to both “Can a Catholic be a Socialist?”. The article contains both YouTube interviews from both. Check out the article, and subsequent videos, here.
My top video this week is actually one that I uploaded a couple weeks ago. It is an interview I had with apologist Steve Ray. We discuss a few titles for Mary such as the New Eve, Burning Bush, and The Daughter of Zion. Steve discusses how these titles have their beginnings in the Old Testament. It is an enlightening conversation.
God love you and bless you. Please pray for me as I pray for you.
In Christ,
William
